Congestive Heart Disease Is One Of The Most Dangerous

There are many types of heart diseases and each of them has their own unique symptoms. One such type of heart disease is the congestive heart disease. A congestive heart disease is basically the physical disorder where the heart is just not be able to pump as hard as it is required to. Now if the heart doesn't pump as hard as it is needed to the blood can easily flow back into various parts of body which is not supposed to happen and is very dangerous. Congestive heart disease is commonly known as cardiac failure. The name is very misleading as it is not a fatal condition but in most cases is a lifelong condition which might even take a while to develop.

Statistics show that almost 2% of the world's population suffers from the congestive heart disease. A person's chance of acquiring this heart disease increases quite a lot as his age increases. It is also said that the majority of senior citizens are hospitalized due to acquiring the congestive heart disease. There are quite a few causes of congestive heart diseases out of which a few are mentioned below. Congestive heart diseases could be caused because of viral infections or even because of consuming excess alcohol. A frequent cause is when the heart valve is affected by a disease. This causes the leakage of blood which is a major cause of congestive heart diseases.

Another common cause of this type of heart disease is due to a constant rise in a person's blood pressure. This sudden rise is caused mainly due to tension and is known as hypertension. Other causes include excess use of the drug 'amphetamines', more commonly known as 'speed'. As is the case with almost any heart disease, your family history will play a big part and you should be extremely careful about your diet especially if your mother or father has a history. One factor is age and as mentioned before the risk of acquiring a heart disease will always increase as you grow older. These are the two factors that cannot be avoided but there are a number of other factors that are avoidable.
